Camps

Camps

We offer a variety of day camps for clients 6-18 with developmental disabilities.

Camp activities include riding time along with developmental games, horse car, arts and crafts, and group games. Campers are also able to drive the pony-driven cart with “Duece the Mini” – a camp-favorite pony. All our camps provide a 1:1 ratio of camper to staff.

Our Mini-Camp is perfect for those that a whole week of activity is just too much. We still do all the same types of activities, but on a shortened schedule.

Our Sibling Camp provides an opportunity for the siblings of or riders to experience the fun of riding at the DADTH facility, as well as explore the unique challenges of having a relative with special needs with others who share the same background.

The curriculm of this camp includes riding skills instruction, horse care, and dirving the pony-drawn cart.

Sibling Camp is open to brothers sisters, grandchildren and cousins of current DADTH clients, ages 6-18.
